Q . I have had set of 4 solar garden lights for 3 years ,up until this summer the lights were working fine , now there are only two working , is it possible to get them repaired as they were a good quality light ?
A. Hi Jon, A lot of the modern solar garden lights are fitted with 'AA' rechargable batteries , the most probable cause of your problem being that these batteries have expired and now need replacing , look in the body of the light , if there is a battery compartment, remove the existing batteries and replace with new ones, test the light with the new batteries by placing your hand over the light sensor. If this does not solve the problem give the light a good checking over for damage or even corrosion of the components due to weather and possible water ingress. we now supply AA Nicad batteries , please contact our customerservice@lake-renewable-energy.com for further detail , alternatively if all fails and you need replacement lights please visit our garden lighting section . Google has gone green with Blackle .
Blackle was created by Google as their contribution to help save energy. PC monitors requiring more energy to produce a White background than a black background, so by using Blackle as your home page every time you load up your browser you will save a small amount of energy.
It is estimated that blackle could save 750 Mega watts of electricity per year based on 200 million queries per day.
The site keeps a running total of how much energy has been saved by using it compared to the original Google.

Solar FlexRack, a product of Northern States Metals, has been selected to provide rack systems for a major solar energy project in San Antonio, Texas that will begin this spring. 
PV Powered, Inc., the innovation leader in solar inverter reliability, performance, and serviceability, announces that its commercial inverters are being installed in a new 2.4 MW project in Portland, Ore., the largest rooftop solar project in the Pacific Northwest. The project, which will be managed by a joint venture between Portland General Electric (PGE) and U.S. Bank, will cover approximately 900,000 square feet on the rooftops of seven ProLogis distribution warehouses in the Portland area with innovative thin-film solar panels. The solar modules were provided by Advanced Green Technologies, a worldwide supplier of innovative solar solutions for utility scale, industrial, commercial and residential installations.

POET plans to decrease water use in the production of ethanol by 22 percent over the next five years in the first goal of its sustainability iniative, Ingreenuity. If successful, it will cut the company's water used per gallon of ethanol from an average of 3 gallons to 2.33, an annual water savings of one billion gallons. 
The achieved financing for the project rises to EUR 275 million.
